Windows 98 Stuck On Loading Screen
Wecome screen displayed for Windows Setup Wizard [click "Next"]. 4. Install goes well, i put in all the local info (time and location etc) the next time the computer boots it goes thru the Plug and play setup and the system maybe not enough juice is causing faulty errors?

still not sure whether it's a driver associated with msmouse.vxd or not which might be corrupt. Windows 98 Startup Problems Same problem,,hangs forever 3-4 minutes on msmouse.vxd. And there's nothing wrong with the software that comes with the card, especially if you are running the latest version. Here is is listing of some of the key combinations used to enter the BIOS setup on startup. I am not sure exactly why this worked, but it is a low risk remedy. What should I do?

It now hangs with or without the /ie option when installing from CD. It SEEMS like the common thread to many of the cases of ths msmouse.vxd problem is actually some conflict in the bios asscoiated with USB and/or COM/LPT ports. It worked for me once, although on another occasion I had a bad CD-ROM drive (it had a bad vibration). Had Windows 98 as operating system. There's a progress bar, and when it reaches 100% it hangs.
Any changes to settings in the bios...?
I am tempted to modify the system.ini to read at the mouse line:mouse=*vmouseinstead of its current:mouse=*vmouse, msmouse.vsdShould I do that to bypass the msmouse.vsd loading in future? But I have spent too much time on this already. Notice it doesn't say "to the local HDD". I didnt have this problem with old hard drive. However, older cards with protected-mode drivers do have problems with Win Me ... There are no peripherals connected to this machine and it doesn't even have a network card.
